If Plainity and Eyepatch were real characters who joined the Mane Cast, what would they be like?
(Pretend that G4 will go on until season 13 instead of ending after season 9)
Imagine this alternate universe:
Plainity and Eyepatch (who is a Pegasus rather than an Alicorn in this hypothetical) are actual students who help Twilight and Rarity bring down Flim and Flam.
They also return in the season finale.
In season 9, they make multiple appearances as supporting characters before joining the "Mane Cast" in season 10, a la Starlight Glimmer.

What do you imagine they would be like, given time to flesh them out as characters? What kind of character development would they receive?

Would they still be voiced by Tabitha and Tara, or do you have different casting ideas?

Since they are not secretly Rarity and Twilight, they wouldn't look the same as they do in canon. What different character design choices would you give to them?
