On the Equestrian star system:
So in a recent discussion on another Discord, it was pointed out that the stained-glass panels in Canterlot depict a star system with four or five distinct planets. It's visible in this scene - four planets (including one with clear rings) can be seen in orbit around Equestria's sun. What is presumably Equestria's planet itself, depicted at the bottom, might also be one of the center ones or in an independent fifth orbit.
So, aside from confirmation that Equestria very much does reside in a normal astronomical system and reality, this both suggests that Equestria has a reasonably well-developed astronomy field. Which... has some odd implications in a setting where the local ruler can toss the sun around; is she shifting the entire star system to account for the sun's repositioning as well?
For that matter, do you eventually think the ponies will get around to exploring their star system?
