Should Starlight Glimmer be elevated to a Main Character on par with the Mane 6?

In many tv series, animated or otherwise, a new character is introduced whose popularity or for reasons of the story become an integral cast member equal to the introductory main cast. It seems like Starlight Glimmer has approached or is approaching that level and could be considered co-equal with the Mane 6 characters. Would you like to see this development be made official by deliberately putting her in the opening credits as an action scene (not just in the final picture frame) and including her in the marketing materials as part of the main cast of ponies?
