• The mid-season hiatus will officially end on August 5^th with the official US airing of "Discordant Harmony".

Books and Comics

• Friendship Is Magic Issue #56 has been released.

• A shortened version of the Movie trailer has been released internationally.

• The international version of the Movie poster has been revealed and it is beautiful.

• The next Movie prequel comic, this one starting Captain Celaeno and the pirates, has gotten a preview.

• Movie book "The Stormy Road To Canterlot" has appeared on Amazon.

• New Movie figures of the Mane 6 are appearing in stores.

Equestria Girls

• The third and final of this Summer's three Equestria Girls specials, "Mirror Magic", has officially aired in the US.

• Hasbro has introduced a new series on their YouTube channel of kids, male and female, reacting to the latest episodes of the show.

Events and Cons

• Crystal Mountain PonyCon was held, June 6^th - 8^th.

• There will be an official MLP panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

• Hasbro has revealed the extent of the My Little Pony experience at their upcoming official Hascon convention, including previews of Season 8 and the Movie, panels with the show's creative team, Disney World-style character meet-and-greets, and even a custom restaurant area based on Sugarcube Corner, among other.

  • In addition, Hasbro has started a promo for $10-off Hascon tickets, with the promo code SUMMER on their website.

Other

• Famous Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets Of Rage guitarist Tom Morello tweeted about listening to Pony music.

• "Ponify" has been added to the dictionary, the definition explicitly referencing MLP.

Before we go, a real quick thing: any of y'all out there who are into the grimdark/horror scene of fan content, and/or are familiar with the original, I highly reccomend TheLostNarrator's reading of Silent Ponyville 2 that just wrapped up pretty recently. I finished it this past Sunday and I am in love. It's an incredible, captivating, dark, disturbing, emotional ride that may even surpass the original. If you're looking for your next fanfic venture, definitely make it that.
