Should i box rest?
Ok so my horse came in today, cantering up the field mind you! But i noticed he was lame, so ive had a look and it looks like hes over reached and kicked his front leg as he has a cut in a hoof shape there. No heat or swelling just lame, so anyway ive hibbiscrubbed it and purple sprayed, later on put sone sudocream on to protect it, now im wondering, should i box rest or let him walk it off in a seperate field on his own for a few days? Hes in tonight but i normally have him out 24/7. Which is best? Box rest or turned out on his own?
