Dewormer rotation?
Can anyone share their opinion on dewormer rotation? I've read a few articles regarding it and am interested to see if anyone can speak on its benefits, or provide their experience with it.
From what I've read it says there are three primary kinds of dewormer – benzimazoles (Panacur and Anthelcide), pyrantels (Strongid), and avermectins (Ivermectin and Moxidectin) and it is best to cycle between these.
My boy is boarded at a stable where he is stalled at night but pastured out in the day with around ten other geldings. I currently have him on Strongid pyrantel pamoate paste every two months.
