Can only unicorns become Alicorns?
In the series, It only seems that only unicorns ascend to become alicorns. I am pretty sure the other types or ponies could also ascend, because if they couldn't, it would be racist, and I think they wouldn't want racism in a kids show. But I'm not one hundred percent sure if they could, so I wonder I there is a cannon source saying they could.
