Buying my first horse
I worked on/and around horses during a few summer jobs as a teenager, but my knowledge base is limited to basic horsemanship and care.
Someone at work is selling a sorrel grade mare that's well broken and I am considering buying her for my kids to learn on and possibly use for work on weekends for cattle sorting.
For those of you who own and know a lot more than I do, what are some things I will probably overlook as a new owner?
